Nasal Aspirator

Help your newborn or child breathe easily by quickly removing stubborn mucus from their nose and mouth. This versatile device also doubles as a gentle irrigating syringe. It is simple to use, easy to clean, and fully reusable.

Directions for Use

1. Prepare and Test

  • Wash first: Wash the device thoroughly before your very first use.

  • Test for leaks: Squeeze the body of the aspirator, then firmly block the tip of the nozzle with your finger. Release your grip on the body—it should stay collapsed and must not expand until you unblock the tip.

2. Clearing Mucus Safely

  • Compress: Squeeze the body of the device before placing it near the baby.

  • Position: Place the tip of the nozzle gently against the rim of the baby’s nostril. Do not insert the tip inside the nostril.

  • Clear: Slowly release your grip to vacuum the mucus through the nozzle. The congestion will collect hygienically inside the bulb.

  • Empty and Repeat: Squeeze the collected mucus out onto a tissue, then repeat the process as necessary.

  • ⚠️ CRITICAL SAFETY NOTE: NEVER squeeze the bulb to blow air directly into your baby’s nostril. If your baby has congestion in both their mouth and nose, always clear the mouth first.

3. Cleaning & Sterilization

  • Disassemble: Open the two-piece device and wash all parts in warm, soapy water.

  • Rinse: Flush out all soap residue with clean water.

  • Sterilize: Choose one of the following methods to ensure it is completely hygienic:

    • Boil the components in water for 10 minutes.

    • Autoclave the components at 136°C and $2.0text{ kg/cm}^2$ for 10 to 20 minutes.

  • Dry: Allow all parts to dry completely before reassembling.

Storage Instructions

  • Store the clean, dry aspirator inside a covered container.

  • Keep the device away from direct sunlight and nearby heat sources to protect the premium silicone.
